Spineless Authors' Night Number 8 started the new year with a packed house and some brilliant performances. Livia treated us to a profoundly emotional reading and was a hugely supportive and generous guest author. The evening spilled well past our allotted time but nobody seemed to mind. Susan began writing poetry in 2017 with the Inspired by Grief Writers’ Group. In July 2018 the group self-published “Good Grief” as a fundraiser. Susan assisted in its design and wrote six of its poems. In 2019 her poetry featured in Burley Fisher Books' “Making Ourselves Up: The Regenerate Reader”. She is a regular performer at Spineless Authors' Night.

DJ Cockburn is a fiction writer currently based in London. His stories have appeared in Interzone, Urban Fantasist, Apex, and many other places. He was the winner of the Winner of the 2014 James White Award. His website can be found here. |

Christopher Kraken is a former scientist. He has worked in Finance, Software, Spoken Word, and as an internet artist. Sometimes he has been paid for these things. He still performs at spoken word nights in London.

Patrick is a British-Irish poet writing in English and translating from Persian and Turkish. His first pamphlet, Even in the Still (2020), was published by Wide Range and selections from it won the Brewer Hall Poetry Prize. His writing has appeared in publications including The Strand, Test Centre, The White Review and Circumference. |

David is a Scottish writer, performer and self-confessed hopeless romantic. He is currently working on a show that blends poetry and comedy. He also writes a tinyletter site that can be found here. |

Livia Franchini is a writer and translator from Tuscany, Italy. Her writing has appeared in The Quietus, 3:AM, The White Review, LESTE, Hotel, PEN Transmissions and the anthologies On Bodies and Wretched Strangers. Livia is one of the inaugural writers-in-residence of the Connecting Emerging Literary Artist project. Her debut novel, Shelf Life, was published by Doubleday in August 2019.
